A Venue on the Cusp of Transformational Change

Welcome to Leith Theatre, a cherished cultural landmark nestled in the heart of Leith. Originally built in 1932 as a gift from the City of Edinburgh, our theatre boasts a rich history and music legacy.

Despite periods of closure and challenges, including damage during World War II, Leith Theatre has remained a resilient symbol of community spirit and perseverance.

As part of our commitment to preserving this historic space, a restoration levy is included in each ticket purchase for our summer 2025 programme. This contribution directly supports our ongoing fundraising and restoration efforts to support our new journey as a recently announced National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

This is a unique chance to join us and celebrate our long-planned journey towards restoration and reopening. Your support not only enriches our cultural community but also plays a vital role in safeguarding our future.
